Police Officers Igor Soldo and Alyn Beck were shot and killed from ambush while eating lunch at a pizza restaurant in the 300 block of North Nellis Boulevard on June 8, 2014. Two subjects, a male and a female, approached them at their table and shot them execution-style without warning. Officer Beck had served with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for 14 years. He is survived by his wife and three children.

Police Officer Charles Hartfield was shot and killed while taking off-duty action to rescue citizens during the active shooter incident at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, Oct. 1, 2017. Hundreds of citizens were struck by gunfire. Officer Hartfield immediately attempted to assist some of the casualties when he was fatally struck by one of the rounds. Officer Hartfield was a U.S. Army veteran and had served with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for 11 years. He is survived by his wife and two children.

Officer Sanchez lost her battle with cancer on August 6, 2020. Sanchez's cancer was caused by exposure to hazardous materials during her time in Afghanistan while serving the military. For this sacrifice her child Evelyn was included in our program. She is survived by her husband and 1 child.
Officer Jason Swanger died from complications as the result of contracting COVID-19 in the line of duty. Officer Swanger was a veteran of both the U.S. Navy and the Army National Guard. He had served with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for seven years. He is survived by his 2 children.
Detective Justin Terry was killed when a steel height-restriction beam fell onto his department vehicle. Detective Terry had served with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for 21 years and was assigned to the Homicide Sex Crimes Bureau. He is survived by his wife and 2 children. *Family no longer in the program as the youngest child has turned 18
Detective Chad Parque succumbed to injuries sustained when his department vehicle was struck head-on by another vehicle. Detective Parque had served with the North Las Vegas Police Department for 10 years. He is survived by his wife and 1 child.
Sergeant Ben Jenkins was shot and killed when he stopped to assist a disabled motorist on US-93 near mile marker 106 in White Pine County shortly before 6:00 am. Sergeant Jenkins was a veteran of both the Army National Guard and Air National Guard. He had served with the Nevada Highway Patrol for 12 years. He had previously served with the Nevada State Fire Marshal Division and with the Nevada Division of Forestry. He is survived by his wife and four children.*Family no longer in the program as the youngest child has turned 18
Trooper Alberto Felix and Sergeant Michael Abbate were struck and killed by a drunk driver at 3:23 a.m. off Interstate 15 near D Street in Las Vegas.
Sergeant Abbate had served with the Nevada Department of Public Safety - Nevada Highway Patrol for almost 11 years. He is survived by his wife and 1 child.
Trooper Micah May succumbed to injuries sustained the previous day when he was struck by a fleeing vehicle on I-15 while deploying spike strips. Trooper May had served with the Nevada Highway Patrol for 13 years. He is survived by his wife of 13 years and two children.

Police Officer Anthony Francone was struck and killed by a vehicle that was being pursued south of Nixon, Nevada. The pursuit went to the area of Route 446 and Route 447, where he was struck while deploying spike strips. Officer Francone had served in Law Enforcement for 25 years. He had previously served with the Eureka County Sheriff's Office and Storey County Sheriff's Office, where he retired. After retirement, he served with the Fallon Paiute Tribal Police Department, the Washoe Tribal Police Department, and the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Police Department. He is survived by his wife and 3 children.
